Penrose & Pardoe
When I was 13 years old I tried to write my first novel, a Western. I got six or seven chapters in and never finished it. Throughout my teens I started and never finished a few other Western novels, and in my early 20's a few more. Then I switched to modern genre's, and wrote eleven finished novels. Now, finally, I have returned to the genre and completed my very first Western. In the beginning, it was meant to be a stand-alone book, but somewhere around Chapter 10 I knew that Penrose & Pardoe would need more story told. When I write the second one, it will officially be a series rather than a dream. Until then, here's Justice on the Mesa!
Justice on the Mesa
Down-And-Back agent, Samuel Pardoe, just wants to ride north. He’s crossed the plains seven times, and every time but the first he’s dreamed of seeing what’s in those mountains beyond. The time has finally come for him to find out, but the Army needs him as a courier for a quick detour, and the pay is too good to turn down.
Detective Frederick Penrose of the newly established United States Secret Service is onto something big, and when Sam finds him dry-gulched and dying, he has to make a decision about whether or not to help. He believes his destiny lies to the north, but honor is calling him to the southern deserts. His fate is, as yet, unknown.
